Tuck & Daisy are a force of inspiring lyrics infused with infectious melodies and intimate harmonies. Founded in 2010; Portland, Oregon’s Erik “Tuck” Isakson and Amy “Daisy” Smith have evolved from troubadour street musicians barely scraping by, to fiercely organized professional indie artists. Like the raw electricity of Dylan & Baez and the powerful yet playful delivery of Cash & Carter, Tuck & Daisy’s vocal harmonies are magnified by their romantic relationship. Their dynamic live performance caught the attention of Boulder, CO bass virtuoso Josh Jaffe. Joining the group as an official satellite member for the Colorado leg of their successful 2014 self managed tour, Jaffe also contributes his melodic bass stylings to Tuck & Daisy’s debut studio LP The Roar & The Quiet, set to release in early 2015.



The creation of The Roar & The Quiet LP is a landmark of evolution for Tuck & Daisy. Recorded and mixed in Portland, Oregon by Kendra Lynn (She & Him, REM, Pearl Jam, Death Cab for Cutie) at Jackpot! Recording Studio (Capitol, DreamWorks, Sub-Pop); the album highlights how far they have risen from their humble origins, and the bright future that awaits. Featuring 12 original tracks, The Roar & The Quiet takes listeners through the ebb and flow of human emotion. Ranging from the inspirational and uplifting “Carpe-Diem” and “After All” to the dark and moody “Don’t Go Cryin’ Wolf” and “Orphans Lullaby,” the songs tell a story of dynamic human experience through the use of rich, colorful metaphors, poetic alliteration, and gracefully forceful crescendos. With the sweet and playful “A Little Later On”, the proud and rebellious “Rodeo”, and the somber yet uplifting “Orphans Lullaby” the album draws inspiration from every facet of emotion, and is delivered with a tender vocal prowess that is at once honest, innocent, and timeless.
